It's not that hard, once you read the instructions

     In the time I have been divorced I have learned many things; including but not limited to:  making a roast (pork and beef) roasting a bird, chicken and turkey, Pork really doesn't have to taste like shoe leather to be done, how to make gravy, creative chicken and dumplings (old neighbor showed me a thing or 2)  make super spicy salsa, cooking to perfection rice, eggs and mashed potatoes (need something to use the gravy for). I also discovered  drinking wine is an art, with dizzying effects, how to use the post office as my home address and renting is not really throwing your money away... oh the list goes on and on and on...

Please note I did use a semicolon to prevent a run on sentence...

Road Trip

For all you professional photographers out there, I am not. My pics are from my cell phone, so please bare or bear in mind, the touch screen sux, most pics are taken at a blind (I can't see what I am aiming at) and the quality is therefore lacking. This being said, let me present you with a cell cam documentary of my little road trip today. 

Home

When at home, not out on the sea. Sitting on the front "lawn" of my apartment I can't help taking a shot of the nicest building in Mt Washington. Brick construction, slate roofing, and the classic Cape Cod architecture. Lucky for me its right across the street, quick response time, on the other side of the same, wakes me up in the middle of the night when they go out on a call. If you ever need directions to my apartment, its the one right across the street from the Fire House. 

Got some snow?

Oh how ridiculous can it get. All this talk of global warming, fossil fuels, and man made disaster. Some one give me a coffee break would you? Would "global warming" by definition mean less of this white stuff we have come to know as snow? Think of how each season would progress, is this not the "end of the snow period" it getting a little closer to spring, and with that GLOBAL WARMING looming about.... 


So I guess I have been running my mouth too much, this and that about getting "snowed in" and the mad rush to the grocery store and all that, but... 


HELP!  I HAVE PARKED MY CAR AND CAN'T GET OUT

Some times, especially during the winter I am so thankful I chose my profession, through some evil way now is time to start back up, get up and go to work and become like the rest of this great land and start paying my dues again. Lets all weep for poor Pirate, have to do out in cold again. Thanks to the snow though, I am putting it off till Thursday ... gotta get the fan in the car working again. 


its not so bad with out heat, the sun will warm the car a bit, its the windows, no way to blow warm air on them.

What's with this Vonage thing, the phone service; I thought I remembered it being $19.99 a month. Now seeing TV and hearing radio ads stating "always" been $24.99... cable and phone service rates climbing... yata yata yata.
Is there no truth in advertising anymore?
Like Pepsi is better than Coke or Burger King is better than McDonald's??
And what may I ask ever happened to not using the competitions name in advertising?
I remember the days of the "Brand A and Brand B"

Hay while we are on the subject, how come my air mattress didn't come with a "cat clause" ??

So, I'm in Cincinnati for a lay over. I am having my usual cup of coffee and the waitress asks "can I get you another cup of coffee?" I respond "please" and she says a little louder, "can I get you another cup of coffee?"

not mine but:
always keep a trash bag in your car, it doesn't take up that much room and when it gets full you can just toss it out the window.

More Random Musings

Enjoying my rain day off. The sky to the west is dark and ominous with peeks of sunshine here in Cincinnati. It really is more looming than the photo shows. Threatening rain and lots of it, unless of course the NOAA radar is lying to me.
I was taking the time to think...
Where can I find blogs from Cincinnati? should I stumble or Google? I am really not sure which way would be best.
Well I just tried a few stumble searches, seems maybe Google might be a more direct approach. (if you don't see the humor in that you must be on the wrong page)

Got a call this morning from I can't believe you signed up for this Inc. they told me I was late with my payment.

Dinner Tonight

well here goes another cinci fav. And you think I'm having pizza? Guess again, they also have the Italian sandwich known as a hoagie. MsP the standard Steak Hoagie, pizza sauce, cheese and pickle only, Ash is getting her standard, Meatball hoagie, cheese with fries and I of course I will get the "baked buddie" Founders name was Buddie LaRosa, but I order mine with italian dressing instead of the mayo. I also get a small order of buffalo wings (had no idea buffalo could fly) Well if you get the chance to meander into the cinci area stop here for some pizza or anything Italian, spaghetti, sandwiches, lasagna, about anything you could imgine on an italian menu... great food reasonable price and home town good.
