curious 'star'

As I look to the sky in the early evening I see many stars, one has me very curious. Last night in the lower southern sky it appeared, a very bright, large (as stars go) yellowish light. I do not have a telescope. I am thinking this "star" could possibly be the ISS. Get back to me if you are familiar with the light I am mentioning to let me know. I live in southwest Ohio. 12/25 on a car ride out to Hanover Indiana I saw the same light in the lower northern sky and 12/26 standing outside my home I saw the same in the south/southwest sky, just above the horizon.

CURIOUS. That's the perfect word for this.
