yet another moon


Just another moon, Mimas seems to hover just over the ring line of
Saturn. Another of the wonderful photos made from the Cassini mission;
now on an extension named Equinox. So named for the equinox of Saturn as
the planets rotation will have the sun lighting the planet above the ring line.
Note the large crater on the right side of the moon named for William Herschel
who discovered the moon in 1789
This is an exceptional picture of Saturn's ring system
