help .... thousands of them

ok I know computers, helped a friend out just last night to get out of the blue screen of death, but here is a perplexing problem I am having. I use Thunder Bird as my main mail program. The online tax service I used this year and a few before, has now sent me eleven thousand and some "reminders to complete my tax forms". I have been looking for a way to remove all but that is not a task offered on the right click or with buttons, could take all of my time for a few days to remove these. Any suggestions?

You're not able to highlight them all and press the Delete key to take care of this? Or am I misunderstanding what you're trying to do?

highlight and delete 11,000 messages?

Sure, why not? You can group them together by Sender or by Subject line, then just use your Shift Key to highlight them, then Delete. If deleting all 11,000 at once seems unwieldy, you could delete (approximately) 1000 or even (approximately) 500 at a time.

Or am I missing something?

gf found the 'all' task in the context, I was just going through one of my 'stupid' phases (to find things sometimes you have to look for them) lmao
