and it was there all along, wine tastes and all...

well what do you know, a wine store, right up the street, have passed it oh, several hundred times, never thinking to stop in. Well if you know me than you know yes I am a pirate, but rather than rum I am into wine, especially the red ones, especially Cabernet Sauvignon. Just sweet enough, on the dry side and well I really like it. Passing by all the typical wine phrases, bouquet,oak/nut,  goes down smooth etc...
So I finally did stop in for a look, and maybe a purchase this morning. Met the store owner, very astute in the ways of wine. Very much a people person as well, I approached the store about 10 am, blinds were open, but the sign on the door said closed, door was unlocked, I pocked head in and asked, are you open? David, said, I am here, open is usually noon but come on in. showed me around some different wines, we talked wine, as far as real vs synthetic cork vs screw on caps, and basically came to an unspoken agreement to disagree. I did purchase a bottle he had recommended, Stephen Vincent vintage 2007. (real cork) have had a couple glasses and to say I am not displeased. I think I have found a new place to shop for my wine.
