Color for men

     So...

     Who was it that decided nail color is just for females? Men painting their nails is coming back in style after some 3 thousand years.
      This all started a few years back when my daughter lived with me. She used to paint my toe nails, just one or two of them. I would look down and see the art work and really did like it. I thought, what about the rest of them? They look so plain with out any color. I now also color my fingernails. A bit shocking at first. I did some searching and reading on the subject. Through my research I did find Brad Pitt and  Johnny Depp both paint their nails.  At the bar I consider my neighborhood pub I was questioned why and even assumed by at least one gal to be gay. I have read many men painting their nails come across the same experience. Dare to be different is what I would call it. Why limit yourself to unpolished nails? The colors are endless.

The answer is so simple

     I have been around for a good while now, and have seen the good, as good as it gets, and I have peered down the other side too. I hope that this writing will strike a chord with some. 

     If you want to get rid of the drug cartels and you want to keep drugs out of your childrens hands; some will still fall through but, take the crime out of the drug problem. Legalize drugs. Plain and simple, if you can buy it from a reputable outlet why in the world would you still buy it on the street. And yes there is a criminal element in the drug trade. Duh, its illegal. If it weren't the criminals would have no need for it. Remember back to the 1930's, alcohol was illegal, thus making some people very rich. Now I'm not saying drugs are not a problem; however I am saying its not a legal problem. The problem is a social problem and does not need legality or lack there of as an additional problem. Now, if you take the money being pumped in to fight this losing battle keeping prohibition as the answer and turn it toward a proven remedy (sobriety) I think you will get further in your battle against drugs. As was mentioned before, prohibition creates a business and our government has had dealings of this sort before (days of prohibition). So it does seem unlikely that our government would make the same mistake twice. Yet, drugs become a legal problem rather than a social problem. Are you seeing the same circle I am? Just my take on solving a problem.

Sitting around waiting for the work day to begin. Snow is still holding us off the lawns, think Monday is scheduled to be first official day of the 2010 season. Short day as I see things now. Go to shop, load the fertilizer on the trucks and get ready to head out on Monday. Sounds like an easy day to me.

Now my one question (I am still experimenting with blogger) is do I need to use the html code to indent?  Seems I was showing off my newly discovered discoveries last night at a friends, and I was able to indent without an html code being inserted in the text. Seems I could be wrong according to the preview tag...

I know I had trouble one time before, I tried indenting paragraphs and after publishing the spaces of the indent were removed, and the line started on the margin. Perhaps blogger made some changes since I last looked at this.

     One of My Turns

Ok here one that comes to mind, have you ever heard the song Penny Lane done by David Bowie? I was downloading tunes one day a few years back and came across Penny Lane listed as by David Bowie, now I know he did not write the song, I know he didn't make the song a hit but he has been known to do 'cover'. At the same moment, I have seen songs listed in inaccurate details (artist, titles, etc...) came across 'Smoke on the Water' by Led Zeppelin once... and this was a friends computer, owner of the computer was well versed in XP as well as every Windows Version before that, and seemed intelligent enough to know that song was not a Led Zeppelin tune. So.... I download Penny Lane by David Bowie, upon listening I was shocked! Not only was it David Bowie, but he did it great. I have noted some of the cover tunes he has done in the past are not all that great by David, but it really sounded good, almost as if the song was written for him.
