Pot with an estimated street value of nearly $250,000 was seized from two vehicles at the San Luis, Ariz., port of entry in two separate incidents recently, Customs and Border Protection said.

In the first of the two incidents, CBP officers at the port found 92 pounds of marijuana inside a hidden compartment of a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup truck that had been driven across the border from Mexico Thursday morning.

The truck was searched after a CBP narcotics detector dog alerted officers to the possible presence of drugs, CBP said. The driver, a 27-year-old U.S. citizen, was arrested, CBP said.

That same day, a 30-year-old woman from Mexico was arrested after a search turned up 38 pounds of pot in the dashboard of a 1991 Jeep Cherokee she had driven across the border.

The search was prompted by discrepancies in the vehicle and by her answers to questions posed by CBP officers, CBP said.

Neo reporting: My guess is she said "yes I have 38 pounds of pot in the dashboard."
