A Longview man remained in Gregg County Jail on Monday after authorities found 121/2 pounds of marijuana at two homes, police said.
Christopher Dale Franklin, 31, and Margaret Fierros, 29, are charged with felony marijuana possession. Fierros was released Friday after posting $10,500 in bonds. Franklin's bond had not been set Monday morning.
Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement and U.S. Postal Service investigators on Friday found 12 pounds of marijuana at a home in the 100 block of Arthur Street, police said. The search led authorities to search another home in the 100 block of Cherie Lane, where they found a half-pound of marijuana, police said.
Officer Kevin Brownlee said he did not have any additional details about why the postal service was involved in the case.
