Ok, we are looking at a hot rock, I am all for planetary exploration but I think we have enought info on this one. Mercury is just a hot rock in space, I think NASA was more on the mark with the Cassini/Hugens lander. Mariner got info about Mercury, which was essentially this one is sorta boring.... but anyhow... said my piece, if we need the info (and we do) we go and explore the boring ones too. And hey, if Mercury is a planet how come Pluto is a planetoid? I grew up on 9 planets, x making it 10. Now that was some exiciting news, to discover a new planet in our solar system. It just doesn't get much better than that.
