Curiosity, next robotic lab to land on Mars Aug 2012, yes a third rover, this one with more instruments and bigger than the others.  
looking for signs saying Mars could support microbial life. Note to NASA... if looking for life I think you need go outside the solar system to find it. Just a hunch. Then Mars is a good place to practice landing, 60% of the missions sent there have failed. Odds are looking better now, last three landings have been successful.
