The Human Factor...

Back when cars took a few days to assemble, back when it was mostly done by hand. There was that human element in the quality. As you probably know as part of the workforce in America, Monday is not the day to be getting things done. So speculate, if the transmission of said vehicle was put together as a Monday task, chances are said vehicle will experience transmission quirks perhaps even possible failure. Think we might be better to save the transmission for a Tuesday or Wednesday task. Still though, something needs to be done on Monday. The best looking cars back then were the ones the body was installed on Thursday. This is the most productive day of the week.
Just have to prey the seatbelts were not installed on Friday...
This is why the Corvette takes so long to build, can only be manufactured on Thursday.
