Start Menu or Explore... You be the judge.

As I generally use the windows explore feature to access my folders and files I did want to do a walk through on the start menu. Click on the pictures to get a larger view.

pretty cool desktop... wouldn't you say?

We will start with a click on the Start button to bring up the start menu. You will notice 'My Computer' has been changed to Pirate Central, I'm a custom computer type user... nothing default about this guy.

You may have noticed my 'quick launch' is loaded with buttons. If you find you use a program or feature on your computer often this is the best way to get access to that feature. Simply drag and drop the icon in the quick launch and it is there, easy access is my game plan.

A click on the C drive will bring you to the 3rd screen shot shown.
One thing to realize windows by default is set up with folders in the start menu, My Documents, Music, Video etc. which is actually contained in the C drive. I set my music in a Parent folder with music as one of the subfolders. I call this Audio, as not everything in the folder is music. Well it made sense when I set my folders.

Now I always did find this to be a tedious way of getting to a folder. My way would of course as I stated be using the windows explore feature. Right click the start button, in the context choose explore, all the folders display and I click to the destination folder.

So this is the destination folder... Where I store my Music and other Audio files

The Secret

Some of you know I like to cook. I find it to be very relaxing. Well at least on my pot roast. Usually I get a sirloin, pork or beef ,  heat the oven to 335* not only will this prepare the oven, it makes for a warm kitchen. Even summer time it adds a mood. having peeled 3 potatoes, of course this can be more depending on the size of roast. I generally go with about 1.5 -2 lbs. My cooking utensils limit me a bit after I dropped and broke that one. 3-4 carrots, 1/2 or so of a medium onion, white, yellow, get what you like. A bit of salt, pepper, garlic, you know, spice it up a bit, different spices can work, I have tried crushed basil, you can do what you like. I also like to throw a handful of fresh green beans on the top. Put it in the oven.

So now I just sit and wait,  never really figured, as I use different size cuts, seems about 2 hrs in the oven and we're there.

The real magic to the pot roast is you only dirty a few dishes in the prep and prepare....   Just me here, so it lasts into the week and only a brief clean up, its a snap.
