early on the last

I sit here, needing to shave, can't talk about it... So here we are at the end of another year. I am happy for the most part. Dad (the hermit) is doing fine, seems to be happy; at least in his way. Bovine is still my bro, hi beth. 16.5 hours of 08 left... made some new friends this year, blogging; rekindled a friendship of old... lost an old friend too. Still not too much gray, and even so will come the day I will be gray my way.
Learned lots mostly useless info but still is a wonder to read, comprehend and forget about lots of numbers, facts and figures. I am old, lucky for me, I will get older, learn more and forget most. I will be wiser having been there though I wish I hadn't gone. Nothing can change what I have done; in the end it all counts for experience. Been here almost 47, first three I don't know, next 7 somewhat of a blur and in the next 5 almost quit. From there it became difficult but still I am glad it didn't leave. Lost a few gained more; and I still think my family should be my best friends. To think, I am my best friend while still being my worst enemy. They don't always tell you "you did good" and some don't say "it would be better that way". 09 will be welcome, not sure what is in store but I will take it. Knowing I shouldn't think I will have another.
I will shut up now.

Christmas

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terrily frightened. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be for all people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased."

flash to the past

Remember back in the day, it was Friday night, you hung around the coolest kids in class, if your parents knew the kids, and their parents you could do some outrageous things, stay over night, hang over their place till all hours and maybe even go downtown to the all night cinema and catch a flop show gone cultish like "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"

Not being a Hollywood fan of sorts, my movie experiences are rather limited. I do remember the name Susan Surandon, not sure if she ever made the radio/music circuit but I do remember this movie, had to be one of the best flicks I ever "participated" in.

off to work

Well here we go again, last of the aerations on schedule to be wrapped up today, with only me and one other worker to choose as a helper; John (fabio) chooses me. I am so thrilled (hear the sarcasm?) Then back to the shop for more shop fun, moving stuff, organize and straighten up. The real problem here is the guy we share the shop with. Its his stuff thats disorganized and taking up room in the shop. I can't complain, I've been on this job for almost 6 years which is a record for me. End of the year is dull, boring, and dirty. I work outside all year long, use chemicals, fertilizer, and even get my hands in the dirt but its not as messy as moving the stuff around the shop and I don't really like to get my hands dirty.

Well I will be on the computer again this afternoon, just wanted to say hi to everyone out there,

and as for you Bovine, I can't get a hold of you either, unless you comment on my blog, so there, you and your self serving....

and remember, and never forget, as long as you keep moving to the west the sun never goes down.

good morning

On a more serious note; I did want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season
