Icicles and Little Queen

Have you noticed I am on another kick, this time its the icicles from the gutter (note: tell land lord the gutters may have leaks).


Omg... I hate to start with that but... Firefox had a "problem" and crashed! this is a terrible thing to be happening. Well at least for me its all in fun, I don't depend on my computer to earn me a living, my company truck is what I depend on for that. 


Getting a bad feeling about this late winter storm that just went through. Worse case scenario: snow is on the ground into the month of March, this is what we call a late start; for 2 months I will be working every Saturday. This does make for bonus $$ on the paycheck, and it all evens out in the end. There, I feel better about a late start already. 


Ok, so I slept, took me a while to get to bed last night. Saturday morning is a great time, while I am not working the morning away. 




From the album 'Little Queen'. Is very interesting as the music does seem to follow a theme. Including the art on the album cover. Seems to have a gypsy love theme... I always held this song as a favorite from the album.

The back Porch

The one in the middle was named ice jail, when sent to the computer. The others didn't get named other than ice and icicles.

So you can see, or imagine its darn cold here in the eastern mid-west. With no sight of improvement for a few weeks now.

Not Afraid

I was on the edge of wealthy village here in eastern Cincinnati called Indian Hill. Large properties, call them Mansions if you will. On the day I found the deer antler on a property I had a few more 'big' yards to treat. With the motorized spreader its not that tough to get the big properties. So I am riding this loud machine to the left side yard, say about 30k square foot of turf, there stood about 7 white tail deer. A few moved a few feet back, not as if startled, just to move back and I remember the one. This deer just stood his ground, about 30 ft from me and just watched me treat the neighboring yard. As I made my way out to the street in straight lines of fertilizer I would glace back at him (I think it was a him). He was intently studying me, I should have taken a picture, but I didn't.

Its just very interesting, the deer in the area are not afraid of civilization anymore. Sorta an anti-Bambi twist. (if you remember the story)

Where I am GOING

As I work out side, you should realize I love nature. I have this interest in reptiles especially. And I know you have probably seen a turtle slowly making his (or her) way to the other side of the street. If ever you feel the need to maybe save his (or her) life and stop to move said turtle off the street; note the side of the street the turtle is head towards, and move him (or her) to that side of the street. You see, the turtle is going somewhere, and if you move him (or her) back to where she (or he) came from said turtle will be crossing the street again.

Redoubt (like read out)?

First question is how do you pronounce the name of this Alaskan volcano that seems to
be near eruption? Redoubt is 106 miles southwest of Anchorage and if the northern part
of the "ring of fire". Geologists estimate time of eruption could be days maybe weeks away.

A Sun Pillar in Red and Violet

Explanation: Sometimes the unknown is beautiful. In 2000 February near Lake Tahoe, Nevada, two amateur photographers noticed an unusual red column of light rise mysteriously from a setting sun. During the next few minutes, they were able to capture the pillar and a photogenic sunset on film. Pictured above, the red column is seen above a serene Lake Tahoe and snow-capped mountains across from Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park. The mysterious column, they learned later, is a Sun Pillar, a phenomenon where sunlight reflects off of distant falling ice crystals.
